Hello! My name is Luísa and I am a freelance illustrator based in Porto, Portugal.
My mom always told me I would probably be an artist once I grew up… she was actually right! (as she tends to be).
I have a background in fine arts and sculpture, which, in combination with my huge passion for color, texture and playfulness, greatly influences the way I approach illustration.
Although I have a particular interest in creating visual work for young audiences, I am always open to new and challenging opportunities to be creative.
If you get to know me outside of work, you will realize that I spend most of my time dancing ballet, playing board games, learning a new craft (embroidery, crochet, knitting, clay jewelry – you name it, I probably tried it), or receiving some tough love from my cat Lucifer (I didn’t choose the name, but it does suit him).
